Obituary - Georgios Kondylis

2 February 1935 - War Minister Georgios Kondylis died yesterday of a heart attack.

He was a veteran of numerous wars including the Macedonian Struggle, the Balkan Wars, and the Great War. A brave soldier, his loyalty to Greece was proven time and again in his defense of his nation both within and without.

Founder of the National Democratic Party, he made his voice known most famously for the deposing of Theodoros Pangalos government in a bloodless coup.

A warrior and a patriot, Georgios "Keraunos" Kondylis will never be forgotten.
